Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 30, 2026

This Privacy Policy describes how Militant Video Publisher ("the App") collects, uses, and protects information when you use it.

1. Overview

Militant Video Publisher is a personal automation tool used by a single individual (the owner) to upload videos to their own YouTube channels. The App is not offered to the public and does not serve multiple users.

2. Information We Collect

The App accesses the following information through the YouTube Data API v3, only for the Google account that explicitly authorizes it via OAuth:

  • YouTube channel information: Channel IDs, channel titles, and basic channel metadata for the owner's own channels — used to verify the correct channel is selected before uploading.
  • Video metadata: Titles, descriptions, tags, categories, privacy settings, and scheduled publish times — all provided by the owner for their own videos.
  • Video files: MP4 video files the owner selects for upload.
  • Thumbnail images: JPEG/PNG images the owner selects as custom video thumbnails.
  • OAuth tokens: Access tokens and refresh tokens issued by Google when the owner authorizes the App. These are stored securely on the owner's private server.

3. How We Use Information

All collected information is used solely for the following purposes:

  • Uploading the owner's video files to their YouTube channels (youtube.upload scope)
  • Setting and updating video metadata, thumbnails, and privacy settings (youtube.force-ssl scope)
  • Reading the owner's channel list to confirm the correct channel before each operation (youtube.readonly scope)

The App does not:

  • Access any other YouTube user's data
  • Collect personal information beyond what is listed above
  • Use data for advertising, profiling, or analytics
  • Share, sell, or disclose any data to third parties

4. Data Storage and Security

  • OAuth tokens are stored on the owner's private server with restricted file permissions (readable only by the server process).
  • Video files are processed locally and transmitted directly to YouTube's servers via encrypted HTTPS connections.
  • No data is stored on any third-party servers other than YouTube (Google) itself, which receives the uploaded videos as part of its normal service.

5. Data Retention

OAuth tokens are retained until the owner revokes access. Video files and metadata are retained on the owner's server at their discretion. The owner may delete any stored data at any time.

6. Your Rights

As the sole user of this App, the owner may:

  • Revoke the App's access at any time via Google Account permissions — this immediately invalidates all stored tokens.
  • Request deletion of any locally stored data by contacting the email below.
  • Request a copy of any data the App has stored.

7. Third-Party Services

The App interacts with the following third-party service:

  • Google / YouTube Data API v3: Used to upload videos and manage the owner's YouTube channels. Google's own Privacy Policy governs data they collect through their services.

8. Children's Privacy

This App is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect information from children.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top will reflect the most recent revision.
